New Delhi, Dec 01 (ANI): Political leaders and social activists on Monday condemned eve teasing incident in Rohtak roadways bus. Congress leader Kumari Selja said that the incident is condemnable and it is upsetting that none of the passengers got up to the rescue of the girls. JD (U) leader Ali Anwar applauded the brave girls and said that action should be taken against the bus driver and conductor for not acting on the incident. BSP Chief Mayawati also applauded the girls for fighting against the harassers. Social Activist Kiran Bedi said that it is great that after long, courage and bravery in women are coming out. Dressed as a Naga warrior while addressing people at the venue, Modi said that unlike the rest of India which had SEZs (Special Economic Zones), the Northeast region was full of NEZs, that is, 'Natural Economic Zones'. PM Modi also announced a package of rupees 28 thousand crore for the establishment of 14 new railway lines in the Northeast. He said that northeast is a perfect tourist destination and to further work on the same, railway connectivity is essential. He also talked about 24 hours power supply in the region for development. New Delhi, Dec 01 (ANI): Political leaders on Monday reacted over the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government's refusal to make the files on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose public, saying the revelations would "prejudicially affect" relations with foreign countries. The Prime Minister's Office has shared only a list of 41 such files. In the run-up to the general elections, the then BJP president and present Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in January asked the UPA government to reveal the mystery behind Netaji's death. Sexual assault case: No relief for Asaram, SC rejects bail plea

New Delhi, Dec 01 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Monday refused to grant bail to self-styled godman Asaram in the sexual assault case. The court said that one must wait for the health report to be out before taking any decision on bail. The apex court said the bail plea will be hard after a medical test is performed on Asaram on December 03. Earlier, the court asked the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) to review the medical papers of Asaram and declined his plea for bail, saying that he could make a fresh application for bail after all the material witnesses in the case have testified before the trial court. Congress to release booklet on NDA govt's 'U-turn' in Parliament, BJP calls it desperation

New Delhi, Dec 01 (ANI): Congress on Monday is all set to release a booklet in the winter session of the Parliament on the U-turns taken by the NDA government since it came to power. The booklet will narrate the promises made by the BJP during the Lok Sabha elections and inaction by the Modi government over the same issues. Party leaders Manish Tewari said that the present government has failed in all perspectives and that needed to be brought up. Meanwhile, Union Ministers Venkaiah Naidu and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that the Congress has no work and this is the result of their idleness. Naidu said that it is their democratic right and there is no harm in releasing any such booklet. The 33-page booklet would highlight over two dozen 'U-turns' by the NDA government and issues like cash subsidy and different bills like FDI in insurance and GST among others, which were UPA proposals, would be included. The mass wedding was organised by Mahesh Savani, in a bid to support girls whose fathers are no more alive. In order to fulfill duties of a father, Savani himself participated in all rituals of each individual wedding ceremony. Savani said that such events send out a message that people must help each other irrespective of religion. Couples decked in traditional attires exchanged garlands and participated in the religious rituals. Apart from arranging the ceremony, Savani also organises events on various festivals and stays in touch with the couples. Savani said that his relation with the couples was not that of few hours and that he would keep in touch with them for life. At least eight people injured, several feared trapped in under construction building collapse

Loni, Dec 01 (ANI): At least eight people were seriously injured and many other are feared trapped when an under construction building collapsed on labourers at an industrial park in Loni. Around 80 people were said to be present at the construction site when the scaffolding gave way but the exact number could not be confirmed by the police. The ground floor that was under construction sprawled across a large area. NC sarpanch shot dead by unidentified gunmen

Shopian, Dec 01 (ANI): An elected village-head of the National Conference was shot dead by suspected militants at his home in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district. NC village-head Mohammad Sultan Bhat, 38, was killed after suspected militants stopped his car and shot him while he was on his way home in Nazimpora on Sunday night. Bhat had died before being shifted to a medical hospital. According to the media reports, uniformed men were seen at the spot of killing.
