School in Chennai attempts record for largest book reading session

Chennai, Jan 31 (ANI): A school in Tamil Nadu attempted to make a record for the largest book reading session on Friday. A total of 2234 students of the Velammal Matric Higher Secondary School in Chennai gathered in the school grounds to attend the reading session. Senior students took out time to read to their junior schoolmates as they sat on chairs together. The book that was chosen was 'Dora the Explorer', which revolves around the adventures of a young girl and her pet monkey. Road accident kills six in Assam

Sonitpur, Jan 31 (ANI): Six persons were killed in a road accident in Sonitpur district of Assam on Saturday. The collision was between a bus and a car carrying a marriage party on the National Highway 15. The marriage party was on their way from the wedding 200 kilometers away, to the groom's house. While four people, including the married couple died on the spot, two others died after being brought to a nearby hospital. The car was totalled. A leading smartphone company surveyed 2,000 Britishers and found that a quarter of men shares selfies to make their ex or current partner jealous, a leading daily reported. The researchers found that men post an average of three self portraits each week as compared to women who post 1.6 pictures. Men even confessed that they do so to make themselves appear more desirable.
