At least 48 children rescued from bangle factories in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Jan 30 (ANI): Police rescued at least 48 child labourers from bangle factories in Hyderabad. The children were rescued after police carried out multiple raids across the city. Most of them belonged to Bihar state. The police have been carrying out raids as part of their 'Smile' programme to rescue minor children working in hazardous conditions. Hyderabad Police circle officer, N Rama Rao said they have booked a case against the owners and efforts are on to nab the culprits. Some children said they were forced to abandon their studies and work in factories with either no pay or little pay. The 17th annual vintage car rally drew spectators to Jaipur to get a glimpse of royal era. More than 100 vintage pieces were displayed for the car lovers. Meanwhile, crowds also attended a similar rally in Vadodara city, where around 56 vintage cars were on display. The rally was a part of four-day ‘Vadfest’, an art and cultural event in the city.
