It happens : Tribal Fair

Odisha, Jan 30 (ANI): People are thronging the annual tribal fair in Bhubaneswar city of Odisha to get a glimpse of the tribal culture and a taste of the tribal delicacies. The tribal fair was inaugurated on Monday by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. It has been organised by the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Research and Training Institute (SCSTRI) and will go on till February 09. The fair has been divided into various sections like a tribal village, market, food plaza and craft pavilion. Not only the visitors, the tribals participating in the fair are also pleased at this opportunity as they feel it provides them with a bigger market to sell their goods. The organisers expect the footfall at the fair to touch a million and make transactions worth rupees 30 million this year. Jan 30, 2015

New Delhi, Jan 30 (ANI): Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar on Friday said that the revelations made by Jayanthi Natarajan regarding the Environment Ministry are a matter of grave concern and he would review the specific files mentioned in Jayanthi's letter. In a major embarrassment for the Congress party Jayanthi Natarajan, who was sacked as Environment minister three months ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha polls has apparently blasted the leadership of Rahul Gandhi in a letter sent to party chief Sonia Gandhi. According to reports, the minister is likely to quit the party days ahead of the Delhi Assembly polls. New Delhi, Jan 30 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid tribute to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat on his death anniversary. PM Modi was accompanied by Vice President Hamid Ansari and Union Ministers Venkaiah Naidu and Manohar Parrikar at Rajghat. President Pranab Mukherjee also laid floral wreath at the cremation spot of Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat. The day is also observed as Martyrs' Day. The three Service Chiefs, Army Chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag, Navy Chief Admiral RK Dhowan and Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha together paid tribute to Gandhiji. On this day in 1948, Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated at a prayer meeting.
