New Delhi, Feb 01 (ANI): AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal said that if BJP’s chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi cannot give an interview on her own choice, there is no way that she can run government in Delhi. Kejriwal said that AAP will come to power in the national capital and that BJP will definitely lose keeping in view its ‘null agenda’ fir the people of Delhi and also expressed confidence that Congress will cease to gain even a single seat. He also said that BJP Chief Amit Shah made all false claims against him. Further, AAP chief said that there should be separate governments in Delhi and at the centre so that there is competition between the two governments for performing for the people. Kejriwal also questioned on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s suit during US President Barack Obama’s visit, which was worth almost 10 lakhs. Feb 1, 2015

Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj arrives in China on four-day visit

Beijing, Feb 01 (ANI): Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj arrived in Chinese capital, Beijing on a four-day visit. Swaraj is scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and hold talks with her Chinese counterpart on wide-ranging bilateral and multilateral issues. CBI arrests former congress MP Matang Singh in Saradha scam

New Delhi/ Kolkata, Feb 01 (ANI): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested former Congress MP Matang Singh in Kolkata city in connection with Saradha chit fund scam case. The Enforcement Directorate too had reportedly questioned Singh in Delhi earlier. Spokesperson of CBI, Kanchan Prasad said Singh has been booked under the charges of cheating and criminal conspiracy. On Friday, CBI had questioned a powerful aide of West Bengal’s Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Mukul Roy. Roy had so far avoided appearing before the CBI since he was summoned on January 12. MiG-21 fighter aircraft crashes in Gujarat

Jamnagar, Feb 01 (ANI): A MiG-21 fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed in Gujarat. An eyewitness, Mahavir said that the crash was result of an explosion. The pilot managed to eject safely with the help of parachute, say villagers. The incident took place near Samrat Range region but the remains of the plane were recovered from as far as Bed village of Jamnagar district, five kilometers from the actual crash site. Feb 1, 2015

Kolkata court extends judicial custody of 11 accused in Burdwan blast case

Kolkata, Feb 01 (ANI): Kolkata court extended the judicial custody of 11 people including two women, accused in 2014 Burdwan blast, till February 13. Two operatives of the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh were killed in an explosion while preparing homemade bombs in Burdwan district of West Bengal in October last year. The counsel of National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is probing the blast, Shyamal Ghosh said that a bail application has been filed by one of the accused. He added that a petition was also filed by the accused seeking return of items seized from them, a plea that was rejected by the court. Feb 1, 2015

Officials of both India and Bangladesh meet regularly to discuss border issues, including cross-border movement of insurgent outfits. Recently, a 30 member delegation from Bangladesh was in Agartala to attend the India-Bangladesh district magistrate level Joint Border Conference. The delegation included district commissioner cum magistrates, BGB and police officials of 5 bordering districts with southern part of Tripura, while the Tripura team had DCMs, BSF and police officials of 4 bordering districts.
