Kejriwal 'terrified' of Bedi's record against corruption: Amit Shah

New Delhi, Jan 31 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Saturday said Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal is terrified of his party's chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi's record against crime and corruption. Shah was addressing a mega rally in Karkardooma where Prime Minister Narendra Modi also pitched for the Delhi elections. Shah further accused Kejriwal of failing to stick to his word. The BJP chief also recounted the promises that his party had fulfilled since it came to power. The BJP, which has been locked in a pitched battle with Kejriwal's party ahead of the crucial polls, has been posing five questions to the AAP everyday as part of its ongoing election campaign. The AAP, however, has hit back at the BJP for not issuing a manifesto and shying away from a debate between Bedi and Kejriwal. Jan 31, 2015

Police arrests two Maoist rebels in Jharkhand

Palamu, Jan 31 (ANI): Police in Jharkhand on Saturday claimed major success when they arrested two Maoist rebels involved in several anti-government operations. One of the arrested rebels was a regional committee member of the Communist Party of India (Maoist), Jairam Yadav, who was involved in more than two dozen cases. He and his aide, Bhupendra Yadav, were arrested when they came to visit their family in Palamu region of the state. Police said Jairam was involved in an encounter with security forces in Katia jungle in Latehar district in 2013, where the Maoists planted an explosive inside the body of a dead soldier.
