Wushu player Yumnam Sanathoi Devi makes India proud

Manipur, Nov 10 (ANI): Yumnam Sanathoi Devi is one among the few Wushu players in the country. A resident of Yairipok Top Chingtha village in Thoubal district of Manipur, she won a bronze medal at the recently concluded Incheon Asian Games. Her next targets are to win gold medals at 2015 World Wushu Championship and Rio 2016 Olympics. Sanathoi took up Wushu, a traditional Chinese martial arts in 2003 under the guidance of Maibam Surbala Devi and later under Moirangthem Ibomcha Meitei. She later availed training by the Sports Authority of India. Hailing from a poor family, Sanathoi had to struggle a lot to reach at this stage. Pursuing her graduation, Sanathoi also helps out her family in making clothes in looms during her leisure time. The success of young sportspersons like Sanathoi Devi is an inspiration for the youth in the region. Nov 10, 2014

Modi said that Ayurveda needs to come up in the international magazines and should be exposed on a larger scale for its betterment. He also said that unless people related to the field do not appreciate it, others can never take Ayurveda seriously. Celebrations fill air at newly elected cabinet ministers' hometowns

Modi hosted a high tea at his residence ahead of the swearing-in ceremony which was attended by notable party members. Later in the day, new ministers were sworn-in during the ceremony. Speaking to media persons in Panaji city of Goa on Sunday, a supporter of Parrikar, Milind Fernandis, expressed happiness. BJP condemns arrest of RSS cadres by Tamil Nadu police

New Delhi, Nov 09 (ANI): BJP on Sunday condemned the arrest of RSS cadres during their annual founder's day procession in Chennai, adding that the action by the Tamil Nadu government and state police was 'uncalled for'. BJP general secretary Ram Madhav said that actions by Tamil Nadu police and government is highly reprehensible and in total violation of the orders of the court. Earlier, RSS had approached the Madras High Court, seeking a direction to permit its annual founder's day procession in seven cities across Tamil Nadu after authorities had denied the same. The High Court then directed the police on Friday to grant permission to the RSS to take out a procession and hold a public meeting on their founder's day on November 9. Nov 9, 2014
