Modi seeks people___s blessings to end economic crisis, other parties refrain from attacking

New Delhi, Sep 14 (ANI): BJP___s Narendra Modi has sought people___s good wishes to end economic crisis in the county. Modi said this after he was selected as BJP___s prime ministerial candidate on Friday. Meanwhile, the Congress said Modi___s selection was internal matter of the BJP and they are not bothered by their decisions. On its part, the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM) obliquely said BJP wanted to rake up hardcore communal agenda to gain political mileage in the coming elections. Meanwhile, the JD (U), a strong former partner of the BJP in the NDA contended that secularism was soul of the country and Modi___s elevation should not mean communal politics.

Kashmir observes shutdown in protest against human rights violation

Srinagar, Sep 14 (ANI): Residents of Kashmir observed shutdown on Saturday in protest against the recent incidents of violence in the state's Shopian district and repeated human rights violations, which was taking place in the province. All shops, business establishments, educational institutions in the state were shut as public transport also ceased services in the state. The shutdown call was given by Hardliner Kashmiri separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani to protest against human rights violations in the state. A resident, Irfan said that there was need to stop the atrocities that were being committed against the residents in the valley. Leader of Peoples Democratic Party, the main opposition in the state, Mehbooba Mufti attempted to visit Shopian on Wednesday (September 11) but was stopped from entering the district due to it being under curfew for the last few days.
