Rahul Gandhi to address Congress rallies in MP today

Gwalior, Oct 17 (ANI): Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi will address two rallies in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh on Thursday during which he is expected to target the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government in the state. Gandhi is scheduled to address two rallies, the first in Shahdol and then in Gwalior. The Congress number two, who will be accompanied by former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh and several other party stalwarts, will also visit Datia to meet those admitted to the hospital after being injured in Sunday's stampede at Ratangarh Temple.

Allegations on industrialists would adversely affect economy: SP

New Delhi, Oct 17 (ANI): Reacting over the fresh FIR registered by the CBI against KM Birla, Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agarwal on Thursday stated that FIRs against top industrialists of the country is unfortunate and the central government should take up the matter seriously. Election commission issues notice to Kailash Vijayvargiya for violating code of conduct

Indore, Oct 17 (ANI): The Election commission issued a show-cause notice to Madhya Pradesh Industries Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya for violating the model code of conduct by distributing cash to people during a function. The district collector, Indore, Akash Tripathi, said that the Election Commission has asked Vijayvargiya to reply by October 18. While defending himself, Vijayvargiya, said that he would work in accordance with the norms of the election commission.

Gurgaon: armed men assault toll booth staff, flee with cash

Gurgaon, Oct 17 (ANI): A group of men allegedly armed with chains, iron rods and hockey sticks assaulted Delhi-Gurgaon expressway toll staff and looted Rs 1.85 lakh. The whole incident was caught on a CCTV camera, installed on the Gurgaon-Pataudi Road. The men came in a black Scorpio with a red beacon light, beat up the toll plaza staff, grabbed the cash and fled. The police have registered an FIR in the case, however no arrest has been made as yet.
