AAP wants government to fail: Kirti Azad

New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): Reacting to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal led protest demanding suspension of Delhi Police personnel, who have been accused by his administration of dereliction of duty; Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) leader Kirti Azad on Tuesday said that Kejriwal was looking for a way for government to fail. Kejriwal says the Delhi Government must be given charge of the city's police force which currently reports to the central government via the Home Ministry. His demand comes after last week's gang-rape of a Danish tourist, and a controversial midnight raid by Law Minister Somnath Bharti in South Delhi's Khirki Extension area.

Bangladesh: Khaleda Zia calls for anti-government march

Dhaka, Jan 21 (ANI): Bangladesh's opposition leader, Khaleda Zia, called on supporters to join a black-flag march to condemn the ruling Awami League government. BNP Chief Khaleda Zia dubbed the ruling government as illegitimate and unconstitutional. Addressing a sea of supporters, Khaleda Zia said that she was hopeful that the ruling party would not obstruct the rally on January 29. Khurshid criticizes AAP for playing with India's relations with friendly nations

New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): Union Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid said that Uganda's High Commission staff was currently not in Delhi, denying claims of Aam Aadmi Party receiving any letter about Ugandan woman being involved in sex and drug trafficking. Khurshid condemned the incident saying it was sad that some people were playing with India's relationship with friendly nations.

Pakistan halts cross-border bus service in Poonch

Poonch, Jan 21 (ANI): Indian authorities said that their counterparts in Pakistan had suspended cross-border bus service along the Line of Control (LOC) in disputed Kashmir region by not opening the border gates for the passage of vehicles. Reportedly, the suspension was in retaliation to the arrest of a Pakistan truck driver, who was detained by the Indian security forces while agedly trying to cross the border with 114 packets of brown sugar in Kaman post area of Kashmir on January 17. Passengers sitting inside the busses who had to return back to the Indian side were troubled due to this sudden halt of the bus service. Travellers said that such incident has hurt their sentiments and emotions.

Kejriwal asks: Does the Home Minister want to fight with the Delhi Govt?

New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said that his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) would not be backing off any time soon over its demand for the suspension of Delhi Police personnel who have been accused by his administration of dereliction of duty. Addressing AAP supporters near the Rail Bhawan in the centre of the national capital this morning, Kejriwal questioned whether it was the central government's intention to take on the Delhi Government by refusing to accept what he termed were the genuine demands of the city administration. He also accused the central government of being insensitive to the condition of the people who have gathered to get their demands met.
