Lemon Idiyappam Sevai Ingredients Idiyappam Juice of 2 lemons Oil - 3 tsp A piece of Ginger chopped A few Shallots Green chilli - 1 cut up Fresh grated Coconut Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp Salt to taste Roasted Cashew nuts For Tempering Urad dal - 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp A few Curry leaves Method: 1. Boil the water, turn off the stove and boil idiyappam in it for 3-5 minutes. Add 1 tsp salt. 2. For tempering, heat 3 tsp of oil in a kadai. Add Urad dal, mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Once mustard starts crackling, add ginger, green chillies, shallots and curry leaves. 3. Strain the cooked idiyappam. 4. Add turmeric powder and lemon juice to the tempering, add the idiyappam little by little and mix it well. 5. Garnish with grated coconut and roasted cashew nuts. NCW Issues Notice to Ramdev over his 'honeymoon' Remark

Politicos react as US court dismisses 1984 riots case against Congress

New Delhi, April 29 (ANI): Politicos on Tuesday reacted to a US court's dismissal of a lawsuit against Congress party relating to 1984 anti-Sikh riots, saying it did not sufficiently "touch and concern" the US court to exercise jurisdiction. JD (U) leader K C Tyagi said that 1984 riots have not received the justice yet. NCP leader Majid Memon said that 1984 riots is 30 year old and should not be used as a weapon during the elections.

EC holds candle light ceremony to encourage youth to vote

Amritsar, April 29 (ANI): The Election Commission of India organised a candle light ceremony in Amritsar to create awareness among the masses to exercise their right to vote during the world's largest general election. Many youngsters, majority of who were first-time voters, lit a candle each as a sort of pledge to cast their vote on April 30, when Punjab goes to polls in single phase voting. Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Electoral Officer, Ravi Bhagat, said the act of lighting a candle means that the youngsters are aware of their duty to cast their ballot. He said the candlelight marches are often held as mark of protest, but for perhaps the first time, this method has been used in a positive manner for a national cause.
