BJP to focus in southern India following positive poll results

Chennai, Oct 20 (ANI): BJP leader Muralidhar Rao informed that the party is going to put effort in the southern zone of the country, following the positive poll results in Haryana and Maharashtra. Rao said on Monday (October 20) that the results of Maharashtra and Haryana have shown that people has faith in the party. Matchmaking event organised for differently abled in Gujarat

Ahmedabad, Oct 20 (ANI): A 60-year-old man in Gujarat has taken the initiative to help disabled people find love and choose their life partners to embark on a new journey. Natubhai Patel is playing matchmaker to the differently abled people as they are alienated from the society and a lot of times are not able to voice their opinion. Disabled people from across India came to the event organised for them to find a match for life in Ahmedabad. The participants were required to fill registration forms at the beginning of the event and were later called on stage one by one for introduction. Around 200 male candidates and 50 female candidates participated in the matchmaking event.

Colourful earthen lamps for Diwali attract people in MP

Bhopal, Oct 20 (ANI): More than five thousand kinds of earthen lamps at display at a grand fair in Madhya Pradesh attracted many visitors ahead of Hindu festival of lights, Diwali. Earthen lamps are synonymous to Diwali as they adorn every corner of the home or even streets during the festival and add fervour to the festive spirit. The hand-made colourful lamps in various shapes and sizes were available at the fair that has been organised by state government’s handloom and handicrafts department. Artisans from 24 districts of the country are displaying their work at the fair in Bhopal city. The traditional lamps - made of clay and terracotta - are much in demand despite the availability of modern designer lamps and candles in the markets.
