Mumbai hosts fund-raising marathon to spread awareness about cardiac diseases

Mumbai, Feb 8 (ANI): Hundreds of children took part in a fund-raising marathon in Mumbai on Sunday spread awareness about cardiac diseases. ‘Little Hearts Marathon’ is an initiative of ‘Bai Jerabai Wadia Hospital for Children’ in Mumbai to raise funds for poor children unable to meet the exorbitant hospital expenses. The second edition of the three-kilometer marathon drew several known personalities, including the head of youth wing of regional political party, Yuva Sena, Aditya Thackeray, Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade and businessman Ness Wadia. Students of various schools performed physical and gymnastic activities sending across the message of a healthy lifestyle. Feb 8, 2015

New Delhi, Feb 8 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Sunday (February 08) chaired the first meeting of the governing council of National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) in New Delhi. The formation of the forum was announced on August 15, 2014 by Modi during his maiden Independence Day address from the ramparts of the historic Red Fort. Modi has accused 65-year-old Planning Commission of stifling growth with Soviet-style bureaucracy.
