Congress to release booklet on NDA govt's 'U-turn' in Parliament, BJP calls it desperation

New Delhi, Dec 01 (ANI): Congress on Monday is all set to release a booklet in the winter session of the Parliament on the U-turns taken by the NDA government since it came to power. The booklet will narrate the promises made by the BJP during the Lok Sabha elections and inaction by the Modi government over the same issues. Party leaders Manish Tewari said that the present government has failed in all perspectives and that needed to be brought up. Meanwhile, Union Ministers Venkaiah Naidu and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that the Congress has no work and this is the result of their idleness. Naidu said that it is their democratic right and there is no harm in releasing any such booklet. The 33-page booklet would highlight over two dozen 'U-turns' by the NDA government and issues like cash subsidy and different bills like FDI in insurance and GST among others, which were UPA proposals, would be included. Gujarat businessman plays foster father to 111 couples as he gets them married at a mass wedding

Surat, Dec 01 (ANI): One hundred and eleven couples entered into wedlock during a mass wedding in Gujarat. The mass wedding was organised by Mahesh Savani, in a bid to support girls whose fathers are no more alive. In order to fulfill duties of a father, Savani himself participated in all rituals of each individual wedding ceremony. Savani said that such events send out a message that people must help each other irrespective of religion. Couples decked in traditional attires exchanged garlands and participated in the religious rituals. Apart from arranging the ceremony, Savani also organises events on various festivals and stays in touch with the couples. Savani said that his relation with the couples was not that of few hours and that he would keep in touch with them for life.
