Kaushambi, Jan 22 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday while speaking over Shanti Bhushan said that the party members are free to voice their opinion and that the party holds internal democracy. Earlier in the day, delivering a blow to the party, its senior leader Shanti Bhushan came out in support of the Bharatiya Janata Party's chief ministerial candidate for Delhi, Kiran Bedi. CBI harassing my aides, alleges Maran

Chennai, Jan 22 (ANI): Former telecom minister Dayanidhi Maran on Thursday alleged that the CBI was harassing the three people who were arrested in connection with the alleged allotment of more than 300 high-speed telephone lines to his residence in Chennai which were allegedly extended to his brother's TV channel, Sun TV. He said the CBI had forced the trio to give out false statements stating there was a link between Sun TV and his residence. The former minister said that the three were beaten up when they refused to give a false statement. Maran further said that the personnel co-operated with the CBI each time they were called. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had on Wednesday night arrested three persons, including V Gowthaman, the then Additional Private Secretary to Dayanidhi Maran in connection with alleged allotment of more than 300 high-speed telephone lines. Dhaka, Jan 22(ANI): Ministers of ruling Awami League-led government in Bangladesh held rallies across capital Dhaka demanding arrest of former Prime Minister, Begum Khaleda Zia, for her association with an Islamist party that is accused of war crimes. The ministers addressed rallies in the city even as a 48-hour general strike call was given by opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) earlier in the day. As per reports, Zia, was released on January 19 after a house arrest of 16 days, amid renewed violence over last year's disputed polls. New Delhi/ Lucknow, Jan 22 (ANI): Defence Minister, Manohar Parrikar, on Wednesday (January 21) assured that the country's borders were well protected ahead of US President Barack Obama's visit. Parrikar stressed that extra precautions were being taken ahead of the high profile visit, adding that internal arrangements, though confidential, were in place. Obama was invited by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will be the first U.S. president to attend Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi on January 26.
