New Delhi, Feb 14 (ANI): The Delhi Assembly Speaker M.S. Dhir on Friday announced that the Jan Lokpal Bill has not been introduced in the House. Speaking on the same, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said that he is ready to quit, and added that this could be his last session in the assembly. He added that he can even give his life for the country and people, the post of CM is no big deal. Kejriwal also said it has been alleged that the government needs to take permission from the Central government to introduce the Jan Lokpal Bill. New Delhi, Feb 14 (ANI): Arvind Kejriwal on Friday tabled his anti-corruption Jan Lokpal Bill in the Delhi assembly, defying a warning by Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung that the bill cannot be tabled without his consent. As Kejriwal introduced the Jan Lokpal Bill, both Congress and BJP MLAs jumped into the well and said it is unconstitutional on part of the speaker to allow tabling of the bill. New Delhi, Feb 14 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 180.94 points up to stand at 20374.29. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 51.50 points up to stand at 6052.60. Financial Technologies and Tata Motors Ltd. were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 4.99% and 3.47% along with Bharti Infratel and SAIL with an increase of 2.76% and 2.73% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include Bajaj Auto and HDIL with a decrease of 2.94% and 2.53% along with Jain Irrigation and TV18 Broadcast with a decrease of 2.48% and 2.36% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 13.41 points at 11,804.69 while the banking sector is down 59.61 points at 11,683.77 and the realty sector is up 26.85 points at 1,232.20. Kerala, Feb 14 (ANI): Devotees thronged the ten-day long famed temple festival, 'Attukal Pongala', to seek blessings of Hindu goddess, 'Attukal Devi', and to see majestic elephants decorated with ornaments for a procession in Thiruvananthapuram city of India's God's own country, southern Kerala province. The festival witnessed 11 richly caparisoned elephants, decorated with gold ornaments, and divided into two groups in the Attukal temple premises, amid drumbeats and frenzied shouts of devotees. Elephants form a major part of religious festivals in Kerala. In this annual festival, women from all walks of life, gather at the temple and perform a ritual of offering rice cooked in earthen pots to seek the blessings of the goddess.
