SC asks Law Commission to define hate speeches

New Delhi, March 12 (ANI): Supreme Court on Wednesday asked the Law Commission to look into the issue of hate speeches being made by political, social and religious outfit leaders and consider framing guidelines to regulate such provocative statements. The SC passed the order, in response to a PIL filed by NGO Pravasi Bhalai Sanghatan. Petitioner, Avinash Kumar Singh said that the hate speeches made by the political leaders are done to claim personal political gains.
