N Kiran Kumar Reddy launches new party Jai Samaikyandhra

New Delhi, March 11 (ANI): Former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh N Kiran Kumar Reddy announced the name of his party as Jai Samaikyandhra and said that the struggle for reunification of Andhra Pradesh would start from Telangana region as it stood to lose heavily with the state’s division. Reddy is the president of the new party while former MP Chundru Srihari Rao is the founder president. Controversial MP Lagadapati Rajagopal is not part of the party executive though Reddy said that he would act as an advisor and strategist for the party. Kiran also announced formation of “a small committee” with five General Secretaries, a Treasurer and two members.

Arun Jaitley hails SCs directive on trial of MPs & MLAs

New Delhi, Mar 11 (ANI): Senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley on Tuesday hailed the Supreme Court’s decision towards cleansing the political process by directing that trial proceedings in cases of corruption and serious crimes against elected representatives must be completed within a year. Jaitley said that the Supreme Court has struck a balance by giving such an order as a person cannot be stopped from contesting election merely on the basis of an allegation.

Ram Kripals possible alliance with BJP wont affect RJD, say Rabri & Misa

Patna, March 11 (ANI): As Former RJD leader Ram Kripal Yadav is to join BJP and contest from Patliputra seat in Bihar, party leader Rabri Devi said that anybody moving out and joining other parties won’t affect RJD in any way. Further, Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter Misa Bharti remained indifferent on the possibility of the former RJD leader fighting against her from another party and said that there is no personal fight but fight of ideology.

Mohan Bhagwat says chanting NaMo NaMo not our job, Politicos react

New Delhi/ Lucknow/ Nagpur, March 11 (ANI): After RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat refrained his workers from chanting ‘NaMo NaMo’ and to stay in their limits when campaigning for BJP, politicos reacted in contradictory manner bringing a dent in Narendra Modi’s ‘wave’. Clarifying the statement RSS leader Virag Pachpor said that the Sangh’s goal is bigger than a political party and it should not be overshadowed by anything. CPI leader Atul Anjan said that the RSS has full control over BJP and realizing that there is no Modi wave around, the Sangh is trying to divert itself. Meanwhile, Suspended JD (U) Leader Shivanand Tiwari said that the statement is contradictory as the RSS chants Modi’s name considering him ‘their Lord Ram’.

Rajnath Singh blames Congress faulty economic policies for poverty

Jabalpur, March 11 (ANI): BJP President Rajnath Singh flayed ruling Congress party for faulty economic policies and said they have not been able to control poverty in the country. Singh was speaking at a rally in Jabalpur city of Madhya Pradesh. He also said that Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi should take back his recent remark where he accused Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of killing Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, in 1948. Earlier, while addressing a rally in Maharashtra, Gandhi had blamed RSS for the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi.

Prayers & support pours in from sand till sky for missing Malaysian flight

Puri, March 11 (ANI): Internationally acclaimed Indian sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created a sand sculpture of the missing Malaysian airliner as he prayed for the lives of 239 passengers who were aboard the plane that went missing near South China sea. The disappearance of a Malaysia Airlines jetliner is an “unprecedented aviation mystery”, with a massive air and sea search now in its third day failing to find any confirmed trace of the plane or the people aboard. Dozens of ships and aircraft from 10 countries scoured the seas around Malaysia and south of Vietnam for the search operation with China deploying almost 10 satellites to help in the massive air and sea search for the fight, sources said.

Selena Gomez returns to stage after rehab stint

New Delhi, March 11 (ANI): Selena Gomez has returned to the stage after checking into rehab earlier this year in January. The 21-year-old singer performed at the 2014 BorderFest concert at the Hidalgo State Farm Arena in Texas.
