Naqvi slams Congress' remark on Narendra Modi

New Delhi, Nov 15 (ANI): As series of counter-remark continues between Congress and BJP, and most recently, Congress leader Beni Prasad Verma called Narendra Modi 'khooni insaan' (murderous person), BJP Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that Congress' statements are coming in the fear of losing the power. Further, he said that Congress needs to answer on corruption since last 10 years. He said that Congress leaders evaluate Modi's speech to find faults on the same.

Meem Afzal mocks Narendra Modi for 'Shahzada' remark

New Delhi, Nov 15 (ANI): A day after Narendra Modi yet again termed Congress Vice President as 'Shahzada', Congress spokesperson Meem Afzal mocked Modi back and asked what are the obvious names of BJP's 'Shahzada'. He also said that Modi's language shows the cheap mentality and motive of Modi. Further, Afzal said that Modi who never forgets commenting on Congress which shows that he is in love with Congress' history.

Indian army hopes for better relations with China after joint military exercise

Guwahati, Nov 15 (ANI): Indian army is hopeful of an improved relationship with their Chinese counterparts as both sides concluded their ten-day long joint military exercise on Thursday. The joint exercise to combat terrorism took place in China's southwestern province of Chengdu. The Indian soldiers returned back to India on Thursday night. Interacting with the reporter, an army officer, D.S. Shisodiya said that he is satisfied with the training as both contingents had a 'nice' professional interaction. The joint training exercise between the two countries was one of the major bilateral defence cooperation and is third in the series which started in 2007. The first was held at Kuming, China in December 2007 while the second was held at Belgaum, India in November 2008.

Explosion at Tata Steel Plant injures at least 10

Jamshedpur, Nov 15 (ANI): Atleast 10 employees of Tata Steel were injured following the first-ever explosion that triggered a fire inside Tata Steel's works in Jamshedpur. The injured were ferried to the city's Tata Main Hospital for first aid. Media reports also indicate that fire broke out in the adjoining gas pipeline after the explosion. The roof of the gas holder was badly damaged. Doctors on Thursday said that 10 persons are being treated for burn injuries at the hospital. Company officials claimed the blaze was controlled within an hour without disrupting production schedules.

Security forces busted terrorist hideout in Rajouri

Rajouri, Nov 15 (ANI): Acting on a tip off, security personnel busted a militant hideout in Rajouri district of Kashmir recovering a huge cache of arms and ammunition. Police conducted a search operation after receiving specific information of ammunition in a militant hideout in Manjakote area of the district. One AK-47 rifle, 11 magazines, 51 rounds of bullets, seven rocket launchers and cache of other arms and ammunitions were recovered from the hideout. The Kashmir region has witnessed numerous militant attacks, insurgency and infiltration attempts from across the border in the last two decades.

Commonwealth nations arrives in Colombo to attend CHOGM

Colombo, Nov 15 (ANI): As the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meet (CHOGM) is to begin on Friday, leaders from around the world including Heir to the British throne, Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla arrived in Colombo. The 53-member Commonwealth, mostly comprising of former British colonies holds the CHOGM summit every two years. Pakistani Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, Vice President of Ghana, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur and Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak along with India's Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid arrived in the island country and were greeted at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo.
