Nupur Talwars BP high, will be taken to court around 1:00 PM: Dasna Jail Superintendent

Ghaziabad, Nov 26 (ANI): Talking about Rajesh and Nupur Talwar, guilty in Aarushi-Hemraj murder case, Superintendent of Dasna Jail, Vireshraj Sharma said that Nupur’s BP is high and is taken care of by the doctors. He said that the Talwars will be presented in court together at around 1:00 PM for the sentencing. Sharma said that is the situation depreciated, doctors from outside will be called upon, but the situation till now is under control. He said that Nupur is fed with morning breakfast.

Mumbai Police satisfied with security improvements since 26/11

Mumbai, Nov 26 (ANI): Five years after 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, Police Commissioner Satya Pal Singh on Tuesday said that Mumbai police has travelled a long way since past five years in terms of security and is satisfied with the improvements done so far. Singh said that there have been some projects started for the same and the developments still are underway. Further, talking about the coastal security, Singh said that there may be a few shortcomings in the same, which will be tackled and improved upon soon.

Tarun Tejpal Case: NCW supports resignation by victim & Urvashi Bhutalias no to probe case

New Delhi, Nov 25 (ANI): After Noted feminist and publisher Urvashi Butalia said no to be a part of the committee probing the Tehalka sexual assault case and the victim resigned from the organization, NCW member Nirmala Samant supported the same. She said that the decision by Bhutalia is very appreciable and that there is nothing to probe in the case after the accused Tarun Tejpal had agreed for his crime. Samant further said that the victim journalist also did right in resigning from the organization as she is not getting any support from the same. She said that now there is hope that the victim will speak up the truth.

Train derailment kills three people at Delhi railway station

Delhi, Nov 26 (ANI): At least three people were killed in a train accident at the Delhi railway station, on Tuesday morning, said Joint Commissioner of Police, Mukesh Chand Meena. According to fire brigade official, Manish Kumar, the accident took place when a train derailed while reversing to unload and load parcels from a platform and then breaking the wall, reached the footpath leading to death of the three victims. According to Meena, it was a case of gross negligence.

Sexual assault case: Tejpal moves Delhi HC for anticipatory bail

New Delhi, Nov 26 (ANI): Tarun Tejpal, the recused editor-in-chief of Tehelka magazine, moved the Delhi High Court for anticipatory bail in connection with his role in a sexual assault case lodged against him in Goa. Justice G.S. Sistani, before whom the petition was placed, will hear the matter on Tuesday. Tejpal has also sought transit bail to approach the appropriate court in Goa. On Sunday, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Goa, O.P Mishra, said that the team of police has left from New Delhi after carrying out the first round of questioning in connection with the sexual assault case involving Tejpal, and added that the investigation is proceeding in the right direction.

India observes fifth anniversary of 26/11 Mumbai attacks

Mumbai, Nov 26 (ANI): Nation on Tuesday observed the fifth anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai attack that shook the entire nation in 2008, as Pakistani gunmen stormed prime hotels and city landmarks killing 166 people and strained already tense relations between New Delhi and Islamabad. The Mumbai Police held a memorial service at the Gymkhana. Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan and top Maharashtra police officers were present at the event to pay homage to the martyrs. Heaving a sigh of relief, residents praised Mumbai police for its vigilance and security in the city.

Sharada scam: Kunal Ghosh arrested intentionally, Bengal CM involved

Kolkata, Nov 26 (ANI): Minister of state for railways Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Tuesday said that Kunal Ghosh was arrested with intentions by the TMC government in West Bengal and that state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee herself is involved in the Sharada chit fund scam. He said that the only purpose of TMC government is to acquire more and more seats in the state and to not allow any other party or opposition survive there.
