Ghaziabad, Oct 08 (ANI): Army Chief, General Bikram Singh on Tuesday said that his troops had foiled a ‘desperate infiltration’ bid in Keran sector of Kashmir and the militants were not in a strong position to mount any attack. The army has killed nearly 20 militants in the battle that began on September 23 and recovered large haul of sophisticated arms and ammunition. They have been conducting extensive surveillance and search operations to flush out the infiltrator militants. Speaking to mediapersons in Ghaziabad, General Singh clarified that the militants were holed up in a gutter, and even though the operation was still going on, they are not in a strong position.
