Modi should look within BJP then talk about corruption in Congress: Sanjay Nirupam

Mumbai, Dec 22 (ANI): Congress leader, Sanjay Nirupam on Sunday slammed BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi for saying that Congress does not have the right to talk about corruption. He also said that first Modi should look within the BJP and then talk about corruption in Congress. Nirupam further added that there are a number of ministers in BJP who are convicted by the court. He also added that Congress has done a lot to combat corruption by implementing RTI Act, Prevention of Corruption Act, Lokpal and will also implement six more bills to stop corruption.

'The Bastard Child' is a film on East Pakistan's struggle for freedom: Director

New Delhi, Dec 22 (ANI): The Bangladesh Liberation War or East Pakistan’s struggle for freedom broke out in 1971, when the Pakistani Army launched a military operation called Operation Searchlight against the Bengali civilians. Mrityunjay Devvrat, writer and director of the film 'The Bastard Child' was pulled into the subject because of the intense stories it brought from the past and the secrecy maintained on the subject till the present time. The film features Farooq Sheikh, Pavan Malhotra, Raima Sen and Victor Banerjee. Talking about his experience and difficulties while directing the film with reputed actors of Bollywood, Devvrat said that sharing the vision and discussions on the topic really helped.

Bangladesh activists condemn Pakistans stand on Abdul Quader Molla

Dhaka, Dec 22 (ANI): Hundreds of students, teachers, political and social activists in Bangladesh took to streets to protest against Pakistan’s reaction on the hanging of 1971 war criminal Abdul Quader Molla. Jamaat leader Abdul Quader Molla was hanged on December 12, the first war crimes execution in Bangladesh. He was accused of collaborating with Pakistani forces during 1971 Liberation War, who were eventually defeated with India's help.

Narendra Modi's wax statue unveiled in Mumbai

Mumbai, Dec 22 (ANI): BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's wax statue was unveiled on Sunday in Mumbai just before his public rally. The wax statue is 5.10 feet high, which is exactly the same height as that of Modi. This statue, in which 35 kg of wax has been used, is made by Sunil Kandloor within a period of one month.
