New Delhi, Jan 28 (ANI): After Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal re-tweeted calling Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi a 'moron and murderer', TMC leader Saugata Roy said that Kejriwal hasn't shown a responsible behaviour during his governance and is caught out for his irresponsible behaviour. Further, JD (U) leader KC Tyagi called him an anarchist.

Man surrenders after gold heist in India, says did it to expose security glitch

Hyderabad, Jan 28 (ANI): A 23-year-old man surrendered after looting gold jewellery in Hyderabad on Monday and claimed that he did it to expose security glitches. The man, identified as Kiran, is a resident of Guntur in Hyderabad and stole gold from a famous jewellery shop. While addressing mediapersons, commissioner of police in Hyderabad, Anurag Sharma, said that accused said he committed the crime to highlight slackness. Sharma said that special units were set up to investigate the gold heist and Kiran was accompanied by his cousin in the crime.

Politicos react on Rahul;s 1984 and 2002 riots analysis

New Delhi, Jan 28 (ANI): Reacting on Rahul Gandhi's statement during his first ever TV interview, JD (U) leader Ali Anwar said that he may be right in his statement that Gujarat CM was involved in 2002 riots, but he is forgetting that his father had also justified the killings and murders that took place during riots. Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha MP Md Adeeb said that the only difference in 2002 and 1984 riot is that 1984 PM apologized for the same, but Gujarat CM did not.

No forgiveness for either 2002 or 1984 riot, need justice: Shahid Siddiqui

New Delhi, Jan 28 (ANI): After Rahul Gandhi in an interview said that state government was involved in 2002 Gujarat riots, former Samajwadi Party leader Shahid Siddiqui on Tuesday said that there is no forgiveness for either 2002 riots or 1984 riots and that there is just the need for proper justice in the case. He said that this is being Gandhi’s first interview, the Congress Vice President was confused and contradicting his own statements. He further said that in Gujarat riot case, at least people have gone to jail and a certain amount of justice is imparted but not in 1984 riot case.

Security personnel launch operation to nab Maoists in Jharkhand after blasts

Giridih, Jan 28 (ANI): Security personnel launched a massive operation to nab Maoists after they triggered multiple landmine blasts in Jharkhand that killed two policemen and injured ten on Monday. Explosions took place when security personnel were conducting an operation in Giridih district, around 250 kilometres from state capital Ranchi, to free four abducted government officials from the rebels. Police have confirmed that the four officials have been released. Director General of Jharkhand Police, Rajeev Kumar, also confirmed exchange of fire with the Maoists.

Maoists' shutdown disrupts normal life in Bihar

Gaya, Jan 28 (ANI): Normal life came to a halt in most parts of Bihar on Monday due to a shutdown called by rebel Maoists. A tourist in Gaya, Surya Pratap, expressed inconvenience caused due to the shutdown. Maoists are rebels who try to sink deep roots and form links after decades of neglect. The Maoists, who say they are fighting for the rights of the poor and landless, control some of India's mineral-rich areas and operate in large swathes of the eastern, central and southern countryside.

Bangalore, Jan 28 (ANI): Trade minister Anand Sharma has said that the government has formulated a forward looking and dynamic policy which will make the nation a manufacturing hub of the world in less than two decades. Sharma said this while addressing the annual Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) flagship event in Bangalore, which saw participation of 1,000 delegates from 45 countries.
