New Delhi, April 3 (ANI): The Congress on Thursday said that the disagreement between Shahi Imam Syed Ahmed Bukhari and his younger brother, Syed Yahya Bukhari is their personal matter and the decision to support Congress is up to them. Less than 24 hours after Sonia Gandhi had a meeting with Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid to convince him that the “secular vote” must not split, his younger brother voiced opposition. He was highly critical of his own brother, the Shahi Imam, for having gone to the Congress president’s doorsteps offering promises to a party which has only betrayed the trust reposed by Muslims.

Trains collide in Sonbhadra, two dead

Sonbhadra, Apr 3 (ANI): A passenger train rammed into another one waiting at a station in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, killing 2 and injuring at least 5. The accident took place near the Obra Dam railway station in Sonbhadra district when Katni passenger train collided with Varanasi-Shaktinagar intercity that was waiting for the green signal. The last coach of Katni Passenger train has been badly dismantled. Rescue teams struggled to locate and remove bodies from the wreckage. Injured passengers were taken to nearby hospitals.

Pervez Musharraf's convoy escapes blast

New Delhi, Apr 3 (ANI): Former Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf on Thursday survived an assassination attempt. According to reports, an explosion took place, moments after Musharraf's convoy passed through the Faizabad flyover. Musharraf was being shifted late night from the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) to his farmhouse when the blast occurred. Nobody was hurt in the incident. According to police source, the explosives were planted in a rain drain by roadside.
