New Delhi, Feb 14 (ANI): Arvind Kejriwal on Friday tabled his anti-corruption Jan Lokpal Bill in the Delhi assembly, defying a warning by Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung that the bill cannot be tabled without his consent. As Kejriwal introduced the Jan Lokpal Bill, both Congress and BJP MLAs jumped into the well and said it is unconstitutional on part of the speaker to allow tabling of the bill. Kerala, Feb 14 (ANI): Devotees thronged the ten-day long famed temple festival, 'Attukal Pongala', to seek blessings of Hindu goddess, 'Attukal Devi', and to see majestic elephants decorated with ornaments for a procession in Thiruvananthapuram city of India's God's own country, southern Kerala province. The festival witnessed 11 richly caparisoned elephants, decorated with gold ornaments, and divided into two groups in the Attukal temple premises, amid drumbeats and frenzied shouts of devotees. Elephants form a major part of religious festivals in Kerala. In this annual festival, women from all walks of life, gather at the temple and perform a ritual of offering rice cooked in earthen pots to seek the blessings of the goddess. There are atleast 90 stalls showcasing a vast variety of flowers from different parts of the province and also from the country's northeast region. They range from special orchids of Sikkim to the Cactii of Kalimpong,to name a few. Gerbera, seasonal flowers and different coloured roses also seemed to be attracting the visitors' attention.The programme is in its 29th edition this year.
