Politicians condemn communal violence over loudspeaker issue in Moradabad

New Delhi, July 26 (ANI): Politicians on Saturday condemned the recent communal clashes of Uttar Pradesh, which erupted after villagers protested over the installation of loudspeakers at a temple. At the epicenter of the trouble in Moradabad district is a temple in Muslim-dominated Akbarpur village belonging to the Jatav community. Congress leader, Manish Tewari, urged the central and state government of Uttar Pradesh to take adequate steps to ensure peace. BJP Vice-President, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, called the central government to investigate into the communal tensions in the area. JD (U) chief, Sharad Yadav, denounced the clashed over loudspeaker.

BCCI will fight out the injustice meted out to Jadeja: Rajeev Shukla

College students protest against sexual assault of Bangalore school girl

Bangalore, July 26 (ANI): Students of Bishop Cotton Christian Women's College in Bangalore on Saturday protested against the sexual assault of a six-year old girl. The students during the protest demanded justice for the six-year-old who was sexually assaulted within her school's premises. Victory in Uttarakhand by-polls is great achievement: Congress

New Delhi, July 26 (ANI): The Congress won all the three Assembly seats in Uttarakhand for which by-polls were held. The result coming against a BJP wave across the country took the ruling party's tally to 35 in the 70-member House, just one short of majority. Significantly, the result was also a vindication of the Congress central leadership's faith in chief minister Harish Rawat who was handed over the reins of the state in February.
