Bhopal, June 27 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Former minister was sent to jail over alleged involvement in Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam, in which many government employees are under scanner for getting selected through unfair means. Special Task Force (STF) constituted for an investigation into MPPEB scam, or Vyapam scam, detained Laxmikant Sharma, former state technical education minister, for interrogation. STF inspector, Indresh Tripathi, said total 15 people have been sent to judicial custody. India's Congress party had accused leaders of ruling Bharatiya Janata Party of being involved in the scam. At least 12 killed in blast at GAIL pipeline in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh, June 27 (ANI): At least 12 people were killed and 18 others injured after an explosion at a gas pipeline at the site of the state-owned Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) in Andhra Pradesh. The blast took place at 5:30 AM due to a gas leak in a pipeline near a refinery at Nagaram, around 560 km from Hyderabad. A massive fire broke out after the blast. Eight fire engines were rushed to the spot and the fire has been brought under control, officials said. The gas supply line has been cut off. Meanwhile, Prime Minister expressed condolences and tweeted, "My thoughts with the families of those who lost their lives in the GAIL Pipeline fire in AP. Prayers with the injured." He also said, "I have spoken to the Petroleum Minister, Cabinet Secretary and GAIL Chairman and asked them to ensure immediate relief at the accident site."According to official sources, those who suffered burns are being shifted to Amalapuram and Kakinada hospitals.
