New Delhi, July 11 (ANI): The mortal remains of Bollywood legendary actress Zohra Sehgal was given fire on Friday at the Lodhi Road crematorium in the presence of family and friends. Sehgal was brought to the crematorium in a hospital ambulance at 11:00 AM following her death at the Max Hospital due to cardiac arrest. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the passing away of veteran actress. He tweeted, "Prolific and full of life, Zohra Sehgal made a mark through her acting, which is admired across generations. Saddened on her demise.” The last remains of the legendary actress were carried till her pyre by grand daughters Sujata, in the presence of daughter Kiran and great granddaughter Madhyama. New Delhi, July 11 (ANI): Legendary actress Zohra Sehgal, who essayed character roles with aplomb in a career spanning both theatre and cinema, died on Thursday at the age of 102. A Padma Vibhushan awardee, Sehgal breathed her last at Max hospital in Delhi around 4:30pm. Sehgal, unwell for last three-four days, died of cardiac arrest. The veteran actress would be cremated today at 11am at the Lodhi Road crematorium. The news came to light by historian Irfan Habib who tweeted, "Just confirmed that Zohra Aapa is no more..." Sehgal started her career as a dancer with Uday Shankar in 1935.
