During the festival, various competitions were also conducted to showcase the young talents of the state which included a photo exhibition, Film Festival and Cultural Competitions. The major attraction at the venue was the Food Zone where people of the region put up their traditional food stalls. Scores of AIADMK workers and supporters had gathered outside the Chennai Airport to have a glimpse of their favourite leader, who arrived here from Bangalore in a chartered plane. Jayalalithaa, who was driven to her residence amidst tight security arrangements, waved towards the supporters. Many of Jayalalithaa's supporters broke out in impromptu celebrations and cheered as her convoy passed them.
