SIT questions Amar Singh in Sunanda Pushkar case, to call Shiv Menon for further interrogation

New Delhi, Jan 29 (ANI): Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi said on Thursday that the SIT will question Sunanda Pushkar's son, Shiv Menon in connection with her murder case. Menon is Sunanda Pushkar's son from her second marriage. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed for probing Pushkar's death. Meanwhile, Politician Amar Singh, who claimed to be a close friend of Pushkar was also questioned by the SIT on Wednesday. Shimla, Jan 29 (ANI): The governor of Rajasthan, Kalyan Singh took additional charge as the governor of Himachal Pradesh. The Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court, Mansoor Ahmed Mir gave oath of office as the 26th governor of Himachal Pradesh. Speaking to media in Shimla's Raj Bhawan, he said that he is pleased to follow the orders of the President Pranab Mukherjee. He also said that he has an emotional bonding with the state of Himachal Pradesh and would discharge the duty as governor of the state. The President has earlier this month asked Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh to discharge the functions of the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, in addition to his own duties, till further orders. Earlier in the day, Dr S Jaishankar took charge as the new Foreign Secretary, replacing Sujatha Singh whose tenure has been curtailed by nearly seven months. The decision was taken last night by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As per the order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, Dr Jaishankar will have tenure of two years from the date he assumes charge.
