New Delhi, Feb 03 (ANI): Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Tuesday while speaking over the AAP funding issue said that the facts relating to dubious funding of AAP are 'self-evident'. He added that the companies which are showing themselves as the donors of Aam Aadmi Party are not doing any business and have directors who have not any funding source and profit. He further said that this is the round tripping of black money into the political system. New Delhi, Feb 03 (ANI): Amid accusations of the party receiving funds from fake companies, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has demanded a Supreme Court monitored Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe funding of all three major parties in Delhi polls. Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, "5 AAP leaders will go to SC today at 10.30 am to submit an application for an SIT probe into funding of BJP, Cong n AAP."AAP leader Ashutosh further tweeted, "AAP will write letters to BJP and Congress presidents requesting to cooperate in SIT probe about their fundings for clean politics. Pakistani envoy hopes to bolster fragile ties with India through trade

New Delhi, Feb 03 (ANI): Pakistan ambassador to India, Abdul Basit hoped that some progress in trade ties between the two countries would help bolster a fragile peace process between the nuclear armed neighbours. Basit said that India needs to be flexible when it comes to Pakistan in terms of non-tariff barriers to trade. Basit also accused India of hardening its stand on Jammu and Kashmir when bilateral trade between the countries had seen a rise. Weather department predicts heavy snowfall in Himachal Pradesh

Shimla/ Rajouri, Feb 03 (ANI): Meteorological Department (MeT) of Himachal Pradesh issued warning of heavy snowfall in the higher reaches of the state. The cold wave has gripped the entire state with the temperatures in higher alters reaching sub zero level. The director of weather department of Himachal Pradesh, Manmohan Singh said the state will receive heavy spell of snow. He added the day temperature will improve only after Tuesday but nights would continue to remain cold with mercury dipping further. Shimla, Kinnaur, Kullu, Manali, Chamba and Sirmaur regions of the state received snowfall on Monday. Meanwhile, the lowest temperature recorded at Keylong was minus 7.5 degree Celsius. The snowfall in northern states has brought cheers to the tourists but has added to the plight of passengers travelling on those routes with snow blocking many roads. Sarnath, Feb 03 (ANI): A team of specialists from the World Bank arrived in Sarnath city of Uttar Pradesh to inspect the area as part of state government's programme to boost tourism at the pilgrimage site. The team, which is on a two-day visit, has come to help and suggest the government in order to develop the area and boost tourism. Sarnath, located at about 10 km from holy city of Varanasi, is the place where Buddha chose to deliver his first sermon. One of the members of the visiting team, Geetanjali said the team has come to review the area and explore the possibilities of integrating other areas to generate income for the locals. The major priority is to chalk out a development plan by inspecting the main areas. Two policemen killed, six injured in Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Feb 03 (ANI): Two policemen were killed and six other security personnel injured when heavily-armed Maoists opened fire on them in Chhattisgarh. The local police, along with paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) were conducting a combing operation in Pakhanjur area of Kanker district following a tip off when Maoists in large numbers attacked the security personnel. Authorities had rushed a chopper to airlift the injured personnel and sent reinforcements to the site to nab rebels. The Maoists, also known as Naxals in India, are inspired by the political philosophy of China's late Chairman Mao Zedong. Bangladesh delegation arrives in Tripura to discuss cross-border crimes

Agartala, Feb 03 (ANI): A team of Bangladeshi delegation arrived in Tripura to hold District Magistrate (DM) and Deputy Commissioner (DC) level talks to resolve trans-border issues. Indian officials received the 25-member delegation at Akhaura checkpost (between India and Bangladesh) in which besides the district heads, district police heads, officials of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) were also present. The team consists of heads of those four districts of Bangladesh that share border with Tripura. The Bangladeshi delegation will meet with their Indian counterparts on Tuesday to discuss issues related to curbing border crimes and to increase trade between the northeastern states and Bangladesh.
