Tollywood has suffered huge loss in 2015 with the death of 20 Telugu celebs, including filmmakers D Ramanaidu and VB Rajendra Prasad, actress Aarthi Agarwal and character artiste Ahuti Prasad.

The Telugu film industry has lost three producers, three comedians, three character artistes, three writers, three musicians, an actress, a cinematographer, a choreographer, an editor, and a lighting assistant. When compared to previous years, Tollywood has witnessed the demise of more celebs this year.

Actor Ahuti Prasad: Popular Telugu actor Ahuti Prasad died of cancer at a private hospital on 4 January. He lost his battle with cancer while undergoing treatment at KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad. Read more

Actress Aarthi Agarwal: Actress Aarthi Agarwal died of heart attack in New Jersey on 5 June. She was suffering from chronic asthma and had undergone liposuction surgery. She was rushed to hospital in Atlantic City after she complained of respiratory problems. Read more

Producer Edida Nageswara Rao: Telugu producer Edida Nageswara Rao, associated with landmark films like "Shankarabharanam", "Sagarasangamam" and "Swatimutyam", died of age-related illness at a private hospital in Hyderabad on October 4.
