Telugu movies like "Bruce Lee: The Fighter", "Akhil: The Power of Jua", "Sankarabharanam", "Sher" and "Shivam" have turned out to be big flop films at the US box office in the year 2015.

Some Tollywood filmmakers have tried their best to make it big with their movies in North America, which has proved to be become the potential market for Telugu films in recent years. They released their flicks in more than 100 cinema halls across the US market, but they have turned out to be the disasters at the box office.

Ram Charan Teja's "Bruce Lee: The Fighter" can be termed as the biggest disaster of the year. The movie had huge amount of hype and promotion. Released in over 250 screens, the film has become the second biggest Tollywood release in the US after "Baahubali". The film was expected to beat the records of hit films like "Srimanthudu" and "S/o Satyamurthy", but it failed utterly to do so.

Akhil Akkineni's debut movie Akhil: The Power of Jua, which released in 150 screens in the US, is another big-ticket Telugu release of the year. But the movie has done poor business in the country. Sankarabharanam, Shivam, Sher, Kerintha, Courier Boy Kalyan were also released in over 50 screens, but have garnered poor response at the US box office.
