Channelling his inner Jean Valjean, Mr Wheeler began singing One More Day from Les Misérables, before other teachers popped up from around the room to sing different parts of the song. An inquiry into historic child abuse on the island of Jersey found a catalogue of failures in its care system spanning several decades, according to findings published in a report on Monday (July 3).The inquiry, led by Frances Oldham QC, heard 553 offences took place between 1947 and 2004.
