LONDON The BFI London Film Festival continued to shine a light on a crop of new films. Damien Lewis headed the premiere of the ‘Silent Storm’, a romantic drama set on a remote Scottish island. ‘Testament of Youth', based on the acclaimed classic, held its Centerpiece Gala Screening with stars Dominic West & Kit Harington and there was a charge in the air as ‘Electricity’ held its premiere with star Agyness Deyn who plays a woman with epilepsy searching for her long lost brother. Also in London, songwriter Nile Rodgers, lyricist Sir Tim Rice and Kinks front man Ray Davies were some of the winners at this year’s BMI London Awards which honors the best in British music. LOS ANGELES HGTV’s own Matt Blashaw lent a hand as DIRECTV & Scripps Networks partnered with U.S.VETS, an organization providing housing & employment for returning veterans. Blashaw & volunteers worked to rehabilitate rooms used by former servicemen & women. NEW YORK Past & present Superhero’s visited Good Morning America as former Batman and current ‘Birdman’ Michael Keaton thrilled autograph seekers while Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman gave a wave and thumbs up to fans.
