New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday condoled the passing away of filmmaker D Ramanaidu, who was suffering from cancer for some time. Prime Minister Modi took to twitter to share his condolence message. "I condole the demise of Shri D Ramanaidu, a stalwart of the film industry. My thoughts are with his family and countless well-wishers," Prime Minister Modi posted. The last rites of the noted film producer and Dada Saheb Phalke award winner D Ramanaidu will be performed in Hyderabad on Thursday and his body would be kept at Ramanaidu Studios in the morning. Bangladesh court awards death sentence to senior Islamist leader for 1971 war crimes

Dhaka, Feb 19 (ANI): Senior Islamist leader of Bangladeshs Jamaat-e-Islami Abdus Subhan was sentenced to death by the International Crimes Tribunal court in Dhaka for crimes committed during the 1971 war of independence with Pakistan. Subhan was the chief of Jamaats Pabna unit and was in charge of the party's highest policymaking body during the post-Liberation War in 1971. He has been charged with nine crimes against humanity, including murder, genocide, abductions, detention, torture and loot. Subhan was arrested at the toll plaza of the Bangabandhu Bridge in capital Dhaka on Sep 20, 2012. He was later shown arrested in the war crimes case and was sent to jail.
