Philip Hammond: British people did not vote on June 23rd to become poorer, or less secure

Chancellor Philip Hammond has unveiled a set of policies designed to shore up Britains economy during a period of turbulence which he has forecast as a result of Brexit. Speaking to the Conservative conference in Birmingham, Hammond offered a new guarantee to continue payments of any multi-year EU grants secured by British businesses and organisations before withdrawal - probably in March 2019. Historic FARC peace deal rejected by Colombians in knife-edge result

Colombians have narrowly rejected a peace deal between the The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, known as FARC, and the government that would have ended a 52-year war.
