Argentine Peso collapse will not affect rupee: Economic Affairs Secretary

New Delhi, Jan 27 (ANI): India's economic affairs secretary, Arvind Mayaram, said on Monday in New Delhi that the falling value of the Argentine Peso was not casting any influence over the Indian rupee's movement, pertaining to strong economic fundamentals of the country. While talking to media persons in New Delhi, Mayaram said that the rupee has been the best since October, as far as emerging markets are concerned and that they were not overtly concerned about the currency.

He said that Anna Hazare advised him that such hunger strikes won't work and that spreading awareness against AAP is what is needed. Binny started his hunger strike demanding expulsion of Somnath Bharti as the law minister of Delhi.

Finance minister calls for technology advancement for customs department

21 die as boat capsizes off Port Blair, V Narayanasamy expresses disappointment

New Delhi, Jan 27 (ANI): Minister of State in Prime Minister's Office and Congress leader V Narayanasamy, said on Monday that the overcrowded boat carrying tourists that capsized off Andaman Islands, killing at least 21 people, did not had any lifeguards or life jackets to save the people on board. Expelled AAP MLA Vinod Kumar Binny begins hunger strike

New Delhi, Jan 27 (ANI): Expelled AAP MLA Vinod Kumar Binny on Monday started his hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. Earlier today Binny met Lt Governor Najeeb Jung and apprised him of the ongoing situation and talked about the alleged misbehaviour of Law Minister Somnath Bharti with Ugandan women during the midnight raid that took place in Khirki Extension in South Delhi recently. The Aam Aadmi Party's disciplinary committee on Sunday expelled Binny for publicly making false statements against the party and its leadership.
