Kumar Vishwas accused of violation of model code of conduct in UP

Sultanpur, March 08 (ANI): AAP leader Kumar Vishwas was accused of violation of model code of conduct in Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh when he rushed with family members of some labourers killed in an accident at a construction site. Reportedly while digging a pit, some labourers got stuck as the mud near the pit slipped towards the opening pulling the labourers along. Two bodies were recovered while two were reportedly still stuck when Vishwas reached the spot. Vishwas later joined the family members of the deceased and others to meet the district magistrate seeking immediate action. Meanwhile, the District Magistrate K Dhanlaxmi accused Kumar and his supporters of violation of model code of conduct.

Malaysia Airlines plane goes missing, Aviation experts says time passed a cause of concern

New Delhi, March 08 (ANI): Talking about a Malaysia Airlines flight carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew lost contact with air traffic controllers early on Saturday en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, Aviation expert Harsh Vardhan said that the time gap or the time passed after the incident is a cause of concern. He said that the flight is such that it can not land at any unknown destination even in an emergency. Vardhan quoted the reasons for the disappearance as either a mechanical failure or rough weather or sabotage.

India dismisses Pak's education offer to expelled Kashmiri students

New Delhi, March 08 (ANI): India dismissed Pakistan's offer to Kashmiri students expelled by a university in Meerut for celebrating Pakistan's victory over India in a cricket match, that they could pursue their studies in that country. Foreign ministry Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin responded to Pakistan saying that those who live in glass houses should not throw stones at others. Akbaruddin added that India proposed to Pakistan on March 04, a Skardu-Kargil bus service and multi-entry visas for people of Jammu and Kashmir to increase confidence building measures. Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) and other groups organised protests in Kashmir against sedition charges levelled on the students.

RSS moves Election Commission against Rahul Gandhi

Bangalore, March 08 (ANI): The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), moved the Election Commission against Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, who accused them of killing Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. While addressing a rally, Gandhi alleged that RSS people had killed Mahatma Gandhi in 1948. RSS Spokesperson Ram Madhav urged the election panel to take action against Gandhi and restrain him from indulging in such malicious and false propaganda. The RSS also contemplates legal action against Gandhi.

Investigation reveals arms recovered in Samjhauta Express being smuggled across border

Amritsar, March 08 (ANI): Initial investigation into the case of arms seizure from six people travelling in Samjhauta Express train travelling between India and Pakistan revealed that the weapons were being smuggled from Lahore to Delhi. The deputy commissioner of Indian Customs Department, Gurdev Singh, said that they were trying to establish the motive behind the smuggling of the arms. The arms and ammunition was welded in a juicer and wheat mincing machines brought from Pakistan by the alleged arms smugglers.

Bangladesh activist hopes for speedy trial of Pakistani war criminals

Dhaka, March 08 (ANI): Bangladesh activist and eminent filmmaker, Tanvir Mokammel pinned hope on speedy trial of Pakistani war criminals, accused of genocide during 1971 liberation war, who were released under Simla Agreement in 1972. While talking to the reporter in Dhaka, Mokammel called the Pakistani war criminals as perverted individuals, as they were involved in perpetrating the killings, rape and arson.Unrest erupted in January 2013 when the tribunal sentenced to death in absentia a leader of Jamaat. Thousands took to the streets in February demanding the execution of another Jamaat leader after he was jailed for life on similar charges. Slamming Jamaat, Mokammel said the Islamist party should not be allowed to function, which has always tried to sabotage the development of Bangladesh.
