New Delhi, Dec 3 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected Sajjan Kumar's petition to drop murder charges against him in the 1984 anti-Sikh riot cases. The court asked Kumar to face trial for murder in Delhi’s Sultanpuri, during the riots that followed the assassination of late PM Indira Gandhi by her Sikh bodyguards. While BJP Vice President supported the fellow party leader's stand, NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that as the investigation is under process, Ganguly should resign. JD (U) leader Shivanand Tiwari said that he should be tried like any other accused and the charge on him cannot be judged on the basis of age or position.
