Coalgate: ASSOCHAM raises concerns over CBI probe, writes to PM

New Delhi, Oct 25 (ANI): The ASSOCHAM has written to Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh raising concerns over the investor and consumer climate in the country with leading industrialists being targeted by the CBI. Rahul's access to intelligence 'serious': Ex-IB chief

New Delhi, Oct 25 (ANI): Former Intelligence Bureau director Arun Bhagat has expressed concern over Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi being provided with intelligence inputs. Describing it as an imprudent step, Bhagat said that Gandhi's claim to being informed about Pakistani intelligence contacting disgruntled Muzaffarnagar youths after last month's riots, is a serious matter, and if true, needs to be avoided at all costs. Bhagat also said that the source of the information needed to be investigated promptly, as it is also possible that Gandhi was not officially briefed, but was told of this development during a casual interaction.

Chhattisgarh Polls: Congress assails Raman Singh govt

Raipur, Oct 25 (ANI): A day after Chhattisgarh chief Minister Raman Singh filed his nomination paper from Rajnandgaon seat for the upcoming polls in Chhattisgarh, Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh on Friday said that the BJP government in the state has indulged in massive corruption. Assailing the Raman Singh government, Singh said that the people of Chhatisgarh have always supported Congress and it would have formed a government there had there not been a fixing by the BJP from the naxal inflicted regions.

Bangladesh academician highlights ideological differences among political parties

Dhaka, Oct 25 (ANI): Bangladesh academician, Shafi Ahmed highlighted the conflict between the leading political parties of the country, as tensions mounted ahead of the general elections. Bangladesh has been rocked by protests and counter-protests since January, when a tribunal set up by the government to investigate abuses during a 1971 war of independence from Pakistan sentenced to death in absentia a leader of the Jamaat-e-Islami.
