BJP on PMs statement on Coalgate scam

New Delhi, Oct 25 (ANI): BJP vice president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Friday said that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s nod for questioning by the CBI in the Coalscam case is not that appreciable, as the CBI is doing its job. Singh on Thursday on board his special aircraft offered to open his doors for questioning by the CBI in the probe into the allocation of a coal block to Aditya Birla Group Company Hindalco.

BJP slams Rahul's ISI remark on Muzaffarnagar muslims

New Delhi, Oct 25 (ANI): BJP vice president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Friday slammed Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi for his ISI remark on Muzaffarnagar riots. BJP interpreted Gandhi's remarks that Pakistani agencies were approaching victims of Muzzafarnagar riots to lure them into terrorism as an attempt to cast doubts about the patriotism of Muslims.

New Delhi, Oct 25 (ANI): After Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s statement that Pakistan agency is trying to lure Muzaffaranagar riot victims to terrorism started doing rounds, Congress leader Satyavrat Chaturvedi gave the clarification and said that the Muslim people in the region themselves informed this to him while he was on his visit to the affected region. Chaturvedi further said that Gandhi disclosed this in favor of the nation and to avoid anything as such.

Vinod Kambli files FIR against racist remark by foreigner

Mumbai, Oct 25 (ANI): Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli has lodged a police complaint against a foreign lady for allegedly hurling a racist remark at him on Friday in Mumbai. The lady passed the remark over a car parking dispute in his housing society and threatened Kambli of having many contacts in the country, calling him a ‘black Indian’. The former cricketer said he is deeply hurt by the remark. Kambli, who filed a FIR with a police station in Mumbai, demanded strict action against the woman for insulting Indians.

Yet another Ceasefire violation in Kashmir

Jammu and Kashmir, Oct 25 (ANI): The RS Pura district of Jammu and Kashmir witnessed yet another ceasefire violation by Pakistan on Thursday night that continued till Friday morning. Heavy shelling from the Pakistan side started at around 9:15 pm at Korotana and Chenaj posts in Suchetgarh sector. The Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) also retaliated, resulting in heavy exchanges. Due to shelling, panic-stricken villagers have been forced to abandon their homes and flee to safer places. Head of a village situated near the Line of Control (LoC), Sarwarn Singh, shared his agony. New Delhi says militants from across the border are using all possible means to infiltrate into India before the fall of winter as snow blocks the mountain passes.

BJP questions Rahul's right to be briefed by intelligence

New Delhi, Oct 25 (ANI): Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha on Friday took a jibe at Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, who claimed that he had information that Muslim youth victims of the Muzaffarnagar riots were being contacted by Pakistani intelligence, and questioned the basis on which the Congress number two was privy to Intelligence Bureau information of the country. Sinha also called for an enquiry into the 'systematic' issue and punish those who are established guilty for wrongly briefing the Congress Party vice president.
