Hefazat-e-Islam using Madarsa youth for political gains: Shahriar Kabir

New Delhi, Nov 17 (ANI): Hefazat-e-Islam, backed by the Jamaat-e-Islami claimed that 3000 of their people were killed during its rally on May 5-6. The people's inquiry commission of the Nirmul committee has released a white paper on the same and said that the claims are completely false and baseless. Shahriar Kabir, who is also a part of the People's inquiry commission said that the violence mainly comprise of people from Madarsas and that the rally was a reply to the Shahbag square uprising, conducted to inflict justice to the victims of 1971 liberation war.

Devotees take holy dip in sacred rivers to celebrate 'Kartik Purnima'

Uttar Pradesh, Nov 17 (ANI): Devotees braved the chill and thronged the banks of rivers Ganges and Yamuna in Garhmukteshwar, Ayodhya and Allahabad towns, to take holy dip celebrating 'Kartik Purnima'. Devotees in large numbers converged on the banks of Sangam, the confluence of river Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati to take a holy dip in Allahabad city of Uttar Pradesh. On the eve of 'Kartik Purnima', the pilgrims camp by the riverside and decorate the entire riverbank with earthen lamps. A devotee from Garhmukteshwar, Kishan Kumar said that bathing in the sacred river helps in washing away their sins.

Kejriwal urges people not to donate anymore for Aam Aadmi Party

New Delhi, Nov 17 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal has urged upon people not to donate anymore for the party as they have achieved its target by receiving 20 crore rupees as donation amount.
