Pramod Muthalik joins BJP, politicos react

Hubli/ Nagpur/ New Delhi/ Kolkata, March 23 (ANI): Sri Ram Sene Chief Pramod Muthalik joined BJP in the presence of party leaders on Sunday and said that he joined the party with the aim of making Narendra Modi the next PM of the country. Meanwhile, party leader Manohar Parrikar objected on the same and said that Muthalik's membership should be cancelled. Reacting on the same, Expelled JD (U) Leader Shivanand Tiwari said that Muthalik fits perfectly in Modi's cultural ministry. CPI (M) leader Mohd Salim said that its not surprising and that this is more control of Hindutva brigade in the party. JD (U) Leader KC Tyagi said that it's a bad news for Sushma Swaraj that BJP has incorporated all anti women ministers in it.

Swami Swaroopanand complains against BJP's campaign slogan 'Har Har Modi'

Kolkata, March 23 (ANI): Dwarka Peeth Shankaracharya Swaroopanand Saraswati has raised objections against the use of BJP's Lok Sabha election campaign slogan 'Har Har Modi' in favor of its PM candidate Narendra Modi. The Dwarka seer has strongly condemned the replacement of 'Mahadev' with 'Modi' in the holy enchanting slogan, and thus, lodged a complaint against the unfavorable slogan with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. Swami has further condemned BJP leaders for considering Modi even higher than God.

Pramod Muthalik's BJP membership cancelled within hours

New Delhi, March 23 (ANI): BJP Spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman on Sunday confirmed that Sri Ram Sene Chief Pramod Muthalik's membership is cancelled after the central BJP instructed the same to the state party. She said that the party felt strongly about the same and therefore have taken this action. Earlier, party leader and Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar had also expressed objection over the decision. Muthalik had courted a huge controversy in 2009 after members of his Sri Ram Sene carried out an attack on a pub in Mangalore during which young women were dragged out. He had also carried out a campaign against the celebration of Valentine's Day.

Venkaiah Naidu slams Congress, says party distributed & perturbed
