It happens: Sachin Tendulkar Unveils World s Largest Digital Photo Mosaic Of Himself

Mumbai, March 28 (ANI): Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar felt overwhelmed as he unveiled world's largest digital photo mosaic of himself in Mumbai. The photo mosaic was adapted from a painting created by ace painter, Viveek Sharma, titled 'Eye of the Tiger', which draws parallel between the tiger and the iconic batsman for his strength and valiant acts of courage, bravery and precision. The original painting by Sharma, which illustrates Tendulkar is akin to the 'King of the Jungle' and the ruler of the Earth, was also unveiled at the event. Meanwhile, Tendulkar also thanked his fans for immense support. Sachin left the game after playing more Test matches (200), scoring the most test (15,921) and one-day international (18,426) runs, and compiling more test (51) and one-day (49) hundreds than any other player in cricket history.

It happens: Handicraft Exhibition

Visakhapatnam, March 28 (ANI): A vast variety of exquisite, traditional artefacts by artisans from across India attracted a steady stream of visitors to an ongoing handicraft fair in Visakhapatnam city. The week-long exhibition organised by the artisans supported society of India aims at providing a platform to small-scale artisans where they can showcase their products and provide a boost to their business which is not exposed to bigger markets. Handicrafts, textiles and decorative artefacts remain the highlight of the ongoing fair as visitors throng to the apparels and showpieces stalls. Right at the entrance, the mystical charm of the northeast manifested itself in vibrant colours of dried natural flowers.Meanwhile, another visitor, Fathima said the fair is a delight for the visitors as handicraft and other decorative items from the whole country are available at affordable prices, much cheaper than mall prices.A wide array of ethnic products including hand embroidered products, Tibetan art products, wooden items, clay and mud items were displayed at various stalls.

Lal Muni Choubey withdraws independent nomination from Buxar

The Jammu and Kashmir Government is promoting vertical housing colonies in Srinagar in an effort to stop the trend of consumption of agricultural land for residential and commercial purposes. The public health care centre at Akingam was set up with the aim to provide better health care facilities to residents of the area, but this goal has not been met, as the PHC lacks basic facilities like X-rays and USG. Jammu has been waiting for its first artificial lake for long. Since the foundation stone was laid in December 2009 for the 140 crore ambitious project, it has missed many of its deadlines.

Delhi HC finds BJP, Congress guilty of using foreign fundings

New Delhi, Mar 28 (ANI): In a major blow to the Congress and the BJP, the Delhi High Court has held both the parties guilty of taking foreign funding and thus violating the Foreign Contribution Regulation (FCR) Act, just ahead of the general elections. IAF's C-130J Super Hercules crashes near Gwalior, Retd Wing Commander calls it shocking

New Delhi, March 28 (ANI): In a major setback to the Air Force, IAF's C-130J Super Hercules on Friday crashed near Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh after taking off from Agra air base, killing five crew members, including four officers. Talking about the incident, Wing Commander (Retd.) Praful Bakshi said that it is shocking keeping in view the capability of the aircraft in terms of safety and operational aspects. He further said that this is shocking but speculating on the reasons is not fair and that one should wait for the investigative court to come to nay conclusion. He also said that the incident had not only monetary loss but the loss of lives of potential air force officers which is irreplaceable.
