Despite freezing temperatures, rugby players wooed audience.During the snow festival, various winter sports like snow rugby, skiing, snow throwing championship were held.Local residents welcomed this step taken by the tourism department as this will bring tourists to Pahalgam in winter season also, which is also generate employment opportunities. The Hindu festival of Mahashivratri is celebrated every year, as devotees offer golden apple, fruits, milk and observe fast in reverence of Lord Shiva.On the auspicious occasion, the lingam, a representation of the Hindu deity Shiva, is bathed with the five sacred offerings of a cow, called panchagavya. Thereafter, the five foods of immortality - milk, clarified butter, curd, honey and sugar - are placed before the lingam. Bhopal, Feb 28 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday said that wheat at Rs one per kg will be provided for eight months to farmers who have suffered over 50 per cent crop-loss due to rain and hailstorm in the state.
