Political leaders take 2014-15 Rail Budget with different perspectives

New Delhi/ Patna, July 08 (ANI): As Railway Minister DV Sadananda Gowda presented the rail budget on Tuesday, political leaders take the much awaited budget with different perspectives. RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav said that the PPP concept was already tried by him earlier and won’t affect the Indian Railways in any way. Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav said that there is no use of this budget as still many railway tracks are incomplete in UP. JD (U) MLAs protest against OP Dhankar, file FIR

Patna, July 08 (ANI): JD (U) MLAs and workers on Tuesday staged protest against BJP leader OP Dhankar over his 'Bihari wives for Haryana men' remark outside Bihar Assembly in Patna. The party workers shouted slogans against the BJP and alleged that BJP is functioning against Bihar and the state's women. The party filed an FIR against Dhankar and said that they will collect evidence against Sushil Kumar Modi too who supported Dhankar's statement. Patna DSP Mohd. Railway budget 2014-15: Highlights Part - 4

New Delhi, July 08 (ANI): Railway Minister Sadanand Gowda on Tuesday presented the Railway Budget for fiscal 2014-15 in the Lok Sabha. Gowda said that the government is targeting to become the largest freight carrier in the world. He said that Indian Railways is starved of funds despite 100 percent advance payment by customers. Now it___s time to take corrective actions, fare revision was one such step. He added that there is need to FDI except Railway operations, need to have Private Public Partnership to improve Railways. There is also need to explore new opportunities and to involve private funding in infrastructure development. He proposed WiFi systems on all A1 category stations, retiring rooms on all stations, bullet trains for which Mumbai-Ahmedabad sector has been identified. Keeping in mind the security of women, he said that 4,000 women RPF personnel will be deployed.
