Black Money Case: Centre appeals SC to modify its order on absolute disclosure of info

New Delhi, Oct 17 (ANI): The central government on Friday filed an application in the Supreme Court urging it to modify its order in the black money case on absolute disclosure of information pertaining to people who stashed tainted money abroad. Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi said that information of account holders in foreign banks cannot be placed in public domain by virtue of the treaty. Pak troops continue ceasefire violation in Poonch; politicos react

Hamirpur Sector, Oct 17 (ANI): Pakistan troops resorted to small arms fire in the Hamirpur Sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch District late last night. According to reports, the firing commenced at 9 p.m. and lasted till 10.30 p.m. There was retaliation from the Indian side, the reports added. According to a health services officer, paramedical staff have been put on high alert to supply both medicines and ambulances to any injured security personnel during the cross-LoC firing. On Thursday, a ten-year-old child was injured by the firing from across the border, and is being treated at the Poonch District Hospital. Chennai, Oct 17 (ANI): Supporters of AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa gathered outside her residence to celebrate after the Supreme Court on Friday granted interim bail to her in the disproportionate assets case. Earlier, BJP leader and a petitioner in the case Subramanian Swamy informed that the Karnataka High Court is yet to decide whether the sentence should be suspended or not and on this basis the bail was granted to her by the Supreme Court.
