Delhi witnesses record voter turnout of over 67 percent

New Delhi, Feb 08 (ANI): New Delhi witnessed a record voter turnout of 67.08 percent as Delhiites exercised their franchise to elect a new government. Delhi went to polls for the second time in 14 months on Saturday after the last elections in December 2013 threw up a hung Assembly. Voters came out in large numbers to cast their votes and surpassed the 2013 polling percentage of over 65 percent, said Chief Electoral Officer, Chandra Bhushan Kumar. Boating introduced in Manipur's Loktak Lake to attract tourists

Manipur, Feb 08 (ANI): Situated in the Bishnupur district, some 48 kilometers from Imphal, the Loktak Lake stretches up to 250 square kilometer area. One of the largest freshwater lakes of India, Loktak is also home to the world's only floating National park, Keibul Lamjao National Park. Surrounded by hills, the scenic beauty of the lake and the rich biodiversity attracts large crowds. Recently, the Loktak Lake Tourism Development Society introduced boating facility to attract tourists. There are more than 20 boats of different passenger capacity to ferry tourists across the lake.
