There is no secrecy about Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's budding relationship. The Sanju actor openly confessed dating the Raazi star a few months ago and had been vocal about it ever since. But is Ranbir ready to get hitched with Alia? While there are rumours flying out that the lovebirds will get married in 2020, veteran actor and Ranbir's father Rishi Kapoor said that it is high his son should tie the knot.
He also added that he wants to spend time with his grandchildren before he's gone.
"It is high time he got married. I settled down when I was 27, Ranbir is 35. So, he should think about marriage. He can marry anyone of his choice; we don't have any objection to it. I want to spend time with my grandchildren before I am gone," Kapoor was quoted as saying by Mid-Day.
Kapoor has often spoken about his screwed-up relationship with Ranbir and had said that his son talks to his mother Neetu Kapoor more than him. And this is what prevents Kapoor from raising a discussion about marriage with Ranbir.
"I haven't been vocal about it, but my wife [Neetu Kapoor] keeps bringing it up with him and he just brushes the question away. Whenever he is ready for it, we will be happy. Our happiness lies in his happiness, after all," Kapoor said.
Ranbir and Alia had been making several public appearances and even Neetu Kapoor has expressed his fondness with the Bhatt family over the past few months.
When Kapoor was asked about Ranbir and Alia dating, he said, "Jo hai woh hai, sabko pata hai. I don't need to say anything more."
