Shashi Tharoor admitted to AIIMS

New Delhi, Jan 18 (ANI): Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development (HRD) Shashi Tharoor was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences after he complained of uneasiness and chest pain, hours after his wife Sunanda Pushkar was found dead in a hotel room on Friday. Tharoor was initially admitted to the ICU as a precautionary measure. He has now been moved out of the ICU and is in a normal ward. Tharoor's wife Pushkar was found dead in a Delhi hotel, a day after her Twitter spat with a Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar, over an alleged affair with the minister. An SDM level enquiry has been ordered under Section 176 as her marriage with Shashi Tharoor was less than seven years old. Jan 18, 2014

Shashi Tharoor's personal secretary, Abhinab Kumar, said that Sunanda's body was found in Leela Hotel and the cause of the death is yet to be ascertained.
